As you may have noticed, I’m posting a bunch of cartoons that I drew years ago in response to sexism, misogyny, and violence against women in progressive Christian circles and the church.

We were right: religion is not the problem. It certainly adds fuel to the fire. But the main problem is male dominance and the power of the patriarchal paradigm.

This cartoon is about a woman blogger. But it can apply to any woman who dares to share her story of harassment, abuse, and assault.

At The Lasting Supper, we endeavor to create a safe space to share your story. We’ve learned a lot over the years on how to do it, and we’re succeeding. If you have a story you need to share or need people to trust with it, just check out The Lasting Supper by clicking HERE. If it’s not for you, we promise to give your money back within 30 days.

  1. Funny, these are what the voices say to me as I try to write my novel about my being gay at seminary in the late 80s.

  2. I hear you, Jon Carl. Pressing through our own internal voices is 80% of the battle; the actual writing is only 20% of the game.
