    For me, the challenge is that God has so many facets – we see aspects of him in nature, in the universe, and in Bible’s stories/histories.

    And then, we try to explain all those facets in a theology that makes sense… to us.

    And so, “God” becomes a bigger picture of us… because we hold to a non-changing, non-expanding view of God.

    God becomes an angry tribal man protecting his island of believers…. or a happy white guy that gives presents and miracles to everyone… as per your cartoon, it is no wonder it seems God needs to study your book.

    The finite and temporary are so certain they can explain (and predict) the infinite and eternal.
