I discovered in my own life that when I changed my mind, when I started thinking thoughts or even asking questions, all in the interest on my own curiosity or my own desire to be free or even just to know myself and be me, an independent me, that’s when my life started to change.
Not all of it was pleasant. Many people, especially those in authority over you, won’t appreciate your questions or your independent thinking. They will let you know. Of course, many of you know this already.
But a lot of it is good! Personal freedom and spiritual independence is a good thing! It’s a marvelous thing.
That’s why I drew this image today. She might look alone. But she’s okay. It might look melancholy. But she’s okay. In her heart she knows she’s okay, that all will be well, and that changing her mind and going against the expectations of others and the world around her was the best thing she could’ve done for herself. And for others. And for the world.
