Are you being fed now only to be eaten later?

I’ve been a member of many flocks. Good ones.

I’ve had lots of shepherds. They fed me. They fed me well.

Then, all of a sudden, something happened. I think I came of age or something. I matured. I decided to stand up for myself. The shepherds, I think, took this as their cue to prepare me for their next meal.

This has happened to a lot of people. They have been nice, gentle, docile sheep for so long. Then, when they decide to raise their voice, they’re consumed.

Many of them have become my friends and members of our online community The Lasting Supper. Check us out!

Reminds me of a parable, in part this was a critique of those who use numbers to define reality, projections,
” can you imagine the chickens surprise, looking back at all those days where the farmer provided food, warmth, lodging, and then , one morning, he slashed the chicken’s throat, showing that a more refined view of the world would have been useful to the chicken”

  2. Hey Bdf: Where did you get that parable? I like it.
