Are you really a team?

It’s easy to talk the talk and harder to walk the walk.

Many talk about teamwork but often everyone knows there’s a line that must not be crossed.

I’ve been in churches that just talk the talk. I’ve also been in churches that walk the walk. It takes tons of work to be a team. It also takes a lot of courage, humility, and strength to really function as a team.

In my experience and observation, when we function as a true team, progress is slower but more sure.

And more beautiful.

T=The E=Equal A=Action M=Matrix. TEAM. I have been on many teams. I observed many signs when a team functioned in a healthy way. The teacher was a student, and the students also taught. The leader was a servant, and the servants were at times the leaders. Rules, on occasion :-), were broken, and no calamity occurred. A practice of open-mindedness was encouraged. Jesus served his community. From the smallest acts to greater endeavours. I focus on the Servant, not the fundamentals. We can be a team of human beings, regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation regardless of having a religion or not following a religion, an atheist or a theist. I hold principles close to heart, patience, love, respect, openmindedness, willingness to change. To name a few. I look for teams having these. I am too old to fritter away energy and peace on chaos and dictatorship.
