The third option is someone with both…like you nakedpastor <3

Does the one on the right indicate ego, or brains? You could look at it either way – guy with a big heart vs guy with a big head or heart vs head (size for emphasis). Pretty sure Rhonda is thinking the latter… 😉

Yeah–I’d prefer someone with a balance. I’d probably LIKE the heart-person better, but I’m not sure I’d fully trust either one.

The guy on the right for heart surgery and rocket design — perhaps.

  6. I reckon we should go through the New Testament and replace all references to ‘heart’ with ‘big head’, such is our dependency of ‘right thinking’ or a ‘sound mind’ within Western Christianity!!!!

    Only joking by the way!

  7. buzz says:

The problem is most men trust the little head more than the big head…

  8. Steve Martin says:

Jesus knew what was (is) inside of us. Either in our hearts, or our heads…there’s nothing there that can be trusted in.

So He comes to us, from outside of ourselves, so that we can’t screw it up.

  9. Helen says:

Buzz, haaaa, too true ! (yet through history women have been judged the ’emotional’ irrational ones, go figure !)

  10. Christine says:

Is the heart caring, love, compassion – or emotion and instinct?
Is the head questioning and contemplation – or rigid analysis?

These body metaphors were have in our modern language are not sufficient to answer your question.

  11. Christine says:

Ah, Steve, but that’s the catch. We do still screw it up.
