The idea of God crying has always seemed ludicrous to me. What would he be crying about?

if you had entitled it “jar of christ’s tears”, it would have made more sense to me…because jesus indeed “wept”. still love ya, david!

I first of all assumed they were my tears (and yours) that he’d been collecting..

  5. I love it too! Reminds me of the semtiments of one of Amy Grant’s recent songs:
    “God loves a lullaby
In a mother’s tears in the dead of night
    Better than a Hallelujah sometimes

    “We pour out our miseries
    God just hears a melody
    Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
    Are better than a Hallelujah

“The tears of shame for what’s been done
The silence when the words won’t come
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes
I do believe God cries all these tears before we do – it’s His tears that facilitate ours.
