Shackled by my “group” … seeing that illustrated just does something to fan a flame of freedom in me! To be committed to community and yet not bound by my “group” – a challenge …
Thanks for provoking reflection!

Wow! Your cartoon really resonates with me as I’m in my last year of seminary. I’ve discovered how easily people become bound by the very balls/chains that you depict. And Wayne, I agree with you about the challenge of being in community but not bound by the “group.”
Thank you!
Blessings!

If this poor guy is freed from those chains, he will still be shackled by:
-My history
-My mood
-My personality and
-My opinions
my goodness, that poor bastard.Maybe it’s easier to try to be of service.

Good cartoon. Wonderful to know, though, that we CAN throw off those balls and chains if we decide to. We must stop giving away our power to these things, in my humble opinion. We CAN simply change our mind.
