Funnily enough, that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a partner! Although I’d more likely say, ‘generous to my needs’.

Aren’t there many churches who ARE driven by the personality of the pastor?

I always take the piss out of my pastor/church leader – mostly on Facebook. It’s a sign of affection with me though. What I like about him is that he doesn’t take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself. I think he gets teased quite a bit by his family, in a nice way – he has four daughters! He used to do theatre studies, so a wee bit camp at times, probably quite consciously.

9.Make them people who always agree with everything I say
10.Make them over achievers so I can boast about what God is doing in my church

#10 rang a bell. I think it highlights something I’ve thought about-how people’s personality traits can be mistaken for some spiritual gift or something GOD is doing.
