Looks like something got lost in the translation across the pond.
Or is that the point all the more?
Perhaps NP should have used a Canadian football (with white stripes) rather than American. But then again, I think the cartoon might still work with a re-translation to the more rounded, globe-like footie / soccer ball, or a proper rugger oval (what’s the term for a 3D oval figure, anyway?)
It’s all in the game, after all, right? Fun stuff, interpretation of the rules, translating the rules, invention of the rules so the game can be played…
Great article. There’s a lot of good information here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the up-to-date beta of Firefox, and the layout of your blog is kind of flaky for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so well.
