Play? No sir. Offensive strategy to stay in control!

This cartoon needs more detail – the back stabber is usually smiling as he does it :)

That was always one of my issues at church. Trying to get them to Play was too damn hard, afterall Life is serious business for the average Christian.

Too true, F. Radical — and usually saying how they’ll pray for you.

it’s “we” guys. “we”. not “them”.

NP: I am shocked! You mean it’s NOT all about me and what they did to me!

I am going to have to seriously rethink all this “Victim Theology” stuff………

I find it best to leave the knives in as it makes it harder for the next person to find a free spot… and you may bleed to death if you remove them all at once!!!

—-Do you mean “we” like the Christians you know and hang around with, or are you judging ‘ALL’ Christians as back-stabbers?

If you mean “ALL” Christians, I guess I had better rethink what I thought I knew. So far in, in 11 years at the Church I pastor I haven’t run into anyone that looks like the Christian you portray. I’D LIKE TO THINK THAT THE CHRISTIANS I KNOW ARE THE ONES WITH THE KNIFE IN THE BACK AS OPPOSED TO THE STABBER. But then, you may know the folks is my congregation better than I do, though I have lived with them 11 yrs?

Surely it can’t be the Christians I live with–you don’t know them. Must be the folks you live with–because surely you don’t throw a wide blanket on all Christians!

Cant make my mind up about this. First I laughed then I thought how true then I thought that’s awful. It is awful….awful that it’s true, wonder what God thinks of it all.

I don’t think NP is necessarily thinking of ‘backstabbing’ exclusively, but generally illustrating our tendency to be cruel and hurtful …especially when the going gets rough. It has been said,we show our true colors under pressure.

hmm – I’d say if we’re going to stab you, it’d be to your face.

the backstabbers are the ones who profess to be christian until they find a mate.

fishon: it’s entirely biblical to include us “all” in harmful behavior, as in “we all like sheep have gone astray” and “there is no one righteous, no not one” and “all our feet are swift to shed blood”. that kind of thing.

  13. fishon said, on April 20th, 2009 at 9:23 pm

Those biblical ‘all’s’, yes, that is true. But I doubt if you equate your cartoon to biblical equivlency? However, not ‘all,’ ‘we’ play the way you depict.
