I live on the Kennebacasis River. It is beautiful all year round. Today the snow-kiters were out again. At least half a dozen of them. I caught a photograph of this guy catching some air. He was at least 9 or 10 feet off the ground at one point. My little Nikon Coolpix P5000 takes great shots. I can capture action almost immediately, without any perceivable delay.

Watching these guys was an encouraging analogy of taking advantage of what is sometimes an adversarial issue. Since we live on the river, we are almost constantly berated with wind. We’re always losing shingles in the worst wind. Sometimes the house shakes. And when we are outside, it can sometimes be very annoying. The wind is sometimes so fierce the waves on the river look oceanic. But today these guys were taking advantage of it and using it for sport. It was beautiful to watch the several kites of a wide variety of bright colors. It was a sign to me to be more resilient. No matter what I face, I can somehow find a way through it or at least to stand. Resilience: a key word for me.
