  1. its kind of hard not to be afraid, looking into the face of 2009. but thanks for the message of hope at the start of what will be a tough year – the little guy with the stones did beat that big ole giant, by the grace of God.

All best wishes to you, your family and community. I wish you health, peace and creativity.

  2. Thanks for the cartoon. I sent it out to the Divorce Care group I lead. It says pretty much what they are feeling right now. I am always amazed how God puts people back together. Just when I think it can’t be done….. But we come back with a Jacob limp, a sign that relying on God is life’s real lesson. I love your work and so appreciate the posts as well as the cartoons.

  3. love the name of your blog/hope 2009 isn’t as big as goliath as u have drawn

  4. Don Bryant,

Good work (Divorce Care group). Mine was thirty years ago and it’s still paying dividends (pain, suffering, for the whole famly)

God does heal, and He does use the pain and suffering for His purposes. If I didn;t believe that I would feel hopeless.

  5. I am looking forward to 2009’s journeys. I am anxious to see what God has in story for the World, my Country, my Family, my Church, Friends, and Myself. There is going to be some bad news, some good news. Things are going to happen that will require great strength. Tears will be shed; laughter will ring out with great joy.

I have so much hope for 2009. Not in the circumstances themself, but in watching God opperate in the circumstances.

    MAKE IT a great 2009.
