  1. I have amazing friends. I’ve lost amazing friends.
  2. I’m blessed with a good church. What a headache!
  3. I’ve got lots to be thankful for. I’ve got lots to complain about.
  4. I’ve got a reason to get up in the morning. I could sleep all day.
  5. I need people in my life. I sometimes wish they would leave me alone.
  6. I’m loved. I’m hated.
  7. I’m happy. No, wait, I’m depressed. No, wait…
  8. I live in inexpressible light. It’s so dark I can’t find the switch.
  9. I boldly go where no man has gone before. I’m an idiot!
  10. I’m rich. I’m bankrupt.

The fine art photograph is a cropped version of my photographer friend’s photograph, “Longing”, Howard Nowlan

Contributions to nakedpastor are greatly appreciated.

  1. Ah Duality

“50% shit, 50% sugar, you choose where you put your focus. But just remember if you stand in shit long enough it dries around you.” ;)

  2. I think I like #9 the best.

  3. So,yr perfectly imperfect….strength can be admired, but weakness is lovable

  4. I’m partial to a paradox myself.

I love my job and things are going really well just now. I would like to hibernate till spring.

  5. I am more and more coming to the conclusion that the whole of life is a paradox, especially for Christians

  6. I am proud. I am humbled.

  7. That’s funny AnneDroid…I can relate…love my time off

    I’ve been thinking about…not paradox,but polarity..for example,The Bible is…

    ……sometimes myth….sometimes history
    …….sometimes sacred…sometimes profane
    ……..sometimes noble….sometimes vulgar
    ……sometimes helpful….sometimes hindering
    ……sometimes narrow….sometimes wide
    ….sometimes right….sometimes wrong

Anybody care to add to the list???????????

  8. Nice quote:

“The analogue nature of myth mirrors a sense that the world itself defies digital ways of speaking. For those whose judgements about the real are at the centre of everyday life, subtlety of expression and habitual equivocation are ways of keeping close to the truth.”

(Hugh Brody, The Other Side of Eden, p.246)

  9. an0ther g0od example.!

Bad things happen to good people.

You achieve your goal only to find out that it’s not what you wanted!

Rewards are not always proportionate to effort.

Even your best friends let you down.

There’s no such thing as equality.

    that’s alL…thank y0u.!
