  1. Gee this is sad, not funny!

  2. Seems a bit ambiguous…perhaps intentionally so.

Is this about a personal relationship (the pastor’s girlfriend leaving him), or is this about someone leaving a congregation?

  3. I think it’s about how some people can place mis-placed hopes/projections in another person – whether it’s the woman to the pastor or the pastor to the woman. It can also be seen as the woman feels unworthy to be part of the pastor’s life (since he is such a great person by comparison) – so she is leaving.

But like Naked Pastor says ‘what, me sin?’. LOL

  4. Sir,

Apparently you have been rifling through some of the most ‘cherished’ letters I’ve received in the ministry. And all my dear (pastor) john letters were written by women.

    Jiltedly yours,
    Lee

  5. …probably not a good time to give’er the “pearls before swine” line

  6. Personally speaking, I don’t know what she ever saw in you.

  7. Abundant Blessings

Sounds like somebody could use a little Carole King???

Ain’t it good to know that you’ve got a friend
When people can be so cold
They’ll hurt you, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh, but don’t you let them…

  8. I’ll never be vulnerable with my church again… it just hurts too much!

  9. I know the woman. She was my wife.

  10. Yeah, that essentially happened to me just two days ago. “You’re the perfect guy, so kind, so honest, so smart, and I respect you so much … that’s why I’m breaking up with you; because if I didn’t respect you I’d keep on dating you and waste your time. But you can still be friends with me and text me whenever!” I need to get a shirt that says “I’m Perfect and Disposable” or something like that. :)
