Have you ever seen the movie, “The Abyss”? Specifically the part where the guy (sorry, not that big of an afficionado to remember names) has to put on the deep sea dive suit and breathe in the liquid substance so that his lungs can withstand the pressure of going so deep…

That’s what I struggle with. Letting go. Breathing in God. Entering his Cloud of Unknowing. And being fully consumed by his love.

    Don’t we all?

A rose by any other name…

The Cloud of Unknowing…aka the Tunnel of Chaos, The Valley, The Wilderness…
The part of our journey where the map simply reads, “There be Dragons”

The place where we abandon what we know, and decide to follow who we trust…

Tough stuff — I’d rather have a detailed map of the route ahead — instead we get enough light to see only a step ahead…

So do we keep walking, or curse the darkness?

David, no other blogger can consistently make me laugh out loud the way you do….followed by some serious thinking on my part. It’s a great combination. Keep on going!

Clouds with lightning are scary – walking into them is scary too.

Thanks, Steve. It was almost zenlike to read TCOU associated with wilderness, desert, the haven of dragons – and i imagine these to be the unknowns of a real, trusting life…
