You know, this is a funny picture, but beyond the satire, I can tell you that I’ve REALLY struggled with this.
I hear preachers tell me that God is a God of blessing (in all forms– spiritually, physically, financially, mentally…etc). And as I read the scriptures, I do see the evidence of such truth. But the human tendency is to zero in on that word ‘financially’, because we all think that’s the one we need.
The truth I’ve discovered is that money is not the principle thing. Wisdom is. And my desire is to come to the place where I increase in wisdom, so that instead of using any financial gain I encounter to pad my own life, I can use it to leverage my life for others.
I might not have a million dollars in my hand, but I have ten, and I have two hands and two feet, and breath in my lungs…etc. I guess it starts there.
