  1. He casually peers in the mirror and is startled sees all three men staring back at him.

“Damn it!” he exclaims! “I thought I was beyond such desires at this stage of my journey!”

He shakes his head vigorously, hoping to shake such a profane vision from his sight. He lifts his head slowly towards the mirror and there they are, staring back at him, mocking him with their lustful cravings.

“Damn it again!” he explodes. “Why did I think I could remove these on my own? How can I eliminate these from my sight? What can I do to clean up my thoughts, heart, and mind? Is this some kind of ridiculous test God? I don’t appreciate this!”

He pounds the wall, turns away, and exits the room, teasing himself with the hope that, if he removes the mirror of self-examination from his life, he won’t have to deal with the fact that those three men are quite ever-present in his day-to-day struggle.

  2. Oops, you forgot one—”Let’s go into all the World making disciples for Jesus.”

  3. one way or another, we are all thinking the same things

  4. Aren’t these maybe good desires it’s just because they’re in the minds of leaders it’s even more important that they get it right if possible.

What’s wrong with desiring money, sex, power not over others but to be a powerful person.

It’s what you do with them that counts.
