The fact that the pastor is the cross on the steeple makes me think that the women get crushed & the pastor gets crucified!

Have you ever read “Yertle the Turtle”? Dr. Seuss was an organizational skeptic of similar stipe.
Now, as female clergy in a denomination where there’s grumbling about the “pinkaficaton” of the church, I find this cartoon wrenchingly ironic.
(And, no, that “pink” reference is not about Communism, for those old enough to remember the Good Old Days.)

It’s pretty much true from my experience as well.
Sad, but in too many churches they have this set up. One man rulership. King of rights. The bible never mentions one man over any particular group of saints, but it is always mention as a group of elders (5 fold ministry).
dont forget the men at the top are CEOs, hospital consultants and lawyers, no way are they refuse collectors and machinists….

The women generally ARE the foundation of the church…the men just get all the credit. Besides, the women can only minister at the pleasure of the men and under their direction and God has only spoken to those women if a man confirmed it. I wonder…did Deborah have a male board of directors?
Pastors are indeed leaders. They are the pillars and the concrete foundation of the church.
